Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring with me on the first visit?
For the initial evaluation, you will need to bring your insurance card, driver’s license, and list of medications, if applicable. You may download your patient intake forms from our home page and bring your completed forms with you at your initial visit.
What should I wear?
All lower extremity (knee and ankle) patients should wear shorts or some type of clothing that can be rolled up easily for treatment. Other patients may choose any attire as long as it’s loose-fitting and comfortable, such as shorts/sweats, T-shirts, or any athletic attire. There are spacious fully appointed locker rooms with towels and showers available at all time for your convenience.
How long do visits usually last?
The first visit lasts about an hour and a half. Additional visits may last one hour, depending on your treatment plan.
Will my insurance cover physical therapy?
Most insurance companies, including Medicare, Workers Compensation, PPOs, HMOs and other private insurance, cover physical therapy prescribed by your doctor. We will be happy to verify your coverage if you call our office and provide the necessary information.
Do you accept Medicare?
Yes, we are a Medicare provider. Medicare will cover 80%. The remaining 20% is the patient's responsibility, unless you have current secondary/supplemental insurance. As a courtesy to you, we will also bill your secondary/supplemental insurance.
Are you a Medicaid Provider?
No, we are not.
Do you accept private insurance?
We do accept most health insurance plans. Being a participating provider does not guarantee payment for services, and patients will be responsible for charges applied to a deductible, co-insurance, co-pay or any non-covered charges.
How much will physical therapy cost me?
The Out of Pocket Expenses for physical therapy differ based on insurance company and plan. If your insurance card lists co-pays amounts, physical therapy usually falls under the SPECIALIST column. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our office and a staff member will verify all insurance information and explain in detail all of your physical therapy benefits before you even schedule an appointment.
Will I see the same therapist for each visit?
Yes, you will be guaranteed one on one time with the same therapist for each of your physical therapy treatments.
